Thank you and thank you.

But wait a minute... Mr. On isn't 2nd and 3rd in those OTB contests (anymore)
....dramatic pause....

Just kidding ;)

You guys are en fuego over there Rodney. I wish I'd been paying attention. Since I can't compete over here, I'd like to over there. I just haven't had much time lately.

I'll have to pay more attention :)

Once again, Pile On has distinguished himself from the *Fungible Mass* comprising the rest of us poor posters here at Jet Noise and the rest of the blogoshpere.
We, the *Fungible Mass*, drooling in the muck, honor Senor Pile On: Master of caption mojo, beer expert, friend of the working girl.

And Rodney, don't you work for Hallmark?

You all probably didn't realize this, but Rodney is that cranky old biddy who appears on those funny cards... you know... Maxine?

I've suspected he was secretly a woman for some time - I just didn't want to let you all in on the Big Secret.

Dear God, that one won? It is in rather poor taste don't you think? Heh.

Thanks. Thank you very much.

Frankly, considering the subject matter of the picture, they were all going to be in poor taste, I'm afraid.

I hesitated for a very long time before posting any of it - that's why it took me so long to do.

I'm afraid this 45-year old blogger is still subject to some generational hangups. I think I'll be a bit more careful in future with my subject matter.

That wasn't a slam at you, Menace - if you'll remember, I put up that picture of the model with the electrical tape over her... err... chest.

I'm just a little uncomfortable with where I want the line to be drawn, I think. This was funny, and I participated, but I think I want to move it back a bit :)

Congrats to the winners..

(Sorta on topic shameless caption request)

Cass, any chance of a caption contest for Clinton's sit down with Peter Jennings? Maybe a freeze frame when he's shaking the accusatory finger at ABC?

Boy you go away for the day and all crap breaks loose. I'm not even hardly in touch with my feminine side ( If I were I'd be touching it all the time )

Maybe I should work for Hallmark, everytime I go pick up a card I look for something that read's like one of these captions.

Maxine? I'm not that old, I've got Cassandra beat by a couple of years, though.

we're looking for logical reasons why you stand above the *Fungible Mass* of the other posters in your ability to caption in a biting, yet humorous way. We suspect professionalism (aka, 'Hallmark').
We've come to understand that Pile On has a gift which separates him from the *Fungible Mass*, yet you are still a mystery to the *Fungible Mass* here at 'Jet Noise'.

Your quest for understanding would probably require more of a response than I am interested in giving here. I could probably write a blog post on my thoughts on humor, but that would probably yield more of a response than most people would be interested in reading. I'm involved in IT, my background was Computer Science in College.

I think that exercising the rational side of the brain somehow stimulates the need to use the irrational side. Though that wouldn't explain a large number of people that are pretty smart, but that I don't think of as funny.

Maybe I'll just reveal a little at a time to see if that annoys anyone. I certainly believe that you need to be able to make fun of yourself to be really funny.

Here's my picture
