Blackfive Disenfranchised

Why am I not surprised?

With all the vaunted concern about "counting every vote", apparently our military votes don't matter, just as they didn't in the 2000 election.

Because they're Republican:

I was not in the books. I've voted in every election in my district since moving there in 2000. I recently moved but hadn't changed my voter registration (as advised by the County election board) since the move was outside of the timeframe to change voting districts.
I have two forms of ID - a driver's license and a Firearm Owner ID. I also have a faculty ID for the UofC and a corporate ID from where I work. I had my Voter Registration Card. I also had a paycheck with my address on it.
There were many people who were also not in the voter books. The guy next to me was screaming about "Fraud!". There were four ladies who were crying. Another guy was yelling about his rights. The election judges were freaking out.
The election judges (certainly inept and under-prepared for the onslaught) didn't have any provisional ballots. They turned everyone (that was not in the books) away.
As I left on my way to the County Election Commission to file a complaint, I asked ten different people who were also denied a vote because they weren't in the book, "Are you Republicans?" All ten replied, "Yes."
"Did you vote in the primary?" Nine, "Yes."
It's impossible to know if the Republicans were removed from the book. But this is Chicago...where the dead count more than the living.

Where are Michael Moore's cameras on this one?

Where are John Kerry's 10,000 lawyers, handing out provisional ballots to make sure "every single ballot is counted?". Strangely absent.

Where's the outrage?

Smart a**...

Had no problem this morning at O'Dark 30.

No lines.

No gauntlet of Union thugs.

No signs.

Quiet for a Cook County election.

Took 5 minutes.

Punching that stylus through the NO chad on all those Judge Retention ballots took a lot of time.

Interesting choice for US Rep.

Jesse Jackson Jr. - D

Somebody I didn't know - L

(crickets chirping) - R

KJ, you'd have been proud, I voted Librarian.

pr, I am so proud!

I voted librarian when given the chance, except for President and Senator (to replace Zell Miller). In both cases, those are national positions and the librarian was not right for the war on terror.

I placed my first vote for a librarian too KJ. It was either that or the woman whose name I will not mention (your welcome Greg Greg) for congress.

Well, 1% of precincts reporting nationally and I'm ready to extrapolate..

I'm just having fun watching Wolf Blitzer get pissed off. Some smart black kid is wiping the floor with him and he doesn't like it one bit. He can't figure out how to handle him - it's pretty amusing.

baha, it is ok to extrapolate, as long as you are in the privacy of your own home.

Michael Moore is too busy voting in the two states he is registered in.
