Busted!
Powerline is covering the ongoing revisionist history exercise over at johnkerry.com as it unfolds:
Does this really surprise anyone anymore? After all, he voted to let the President use force in Iraq and then denounced him for doing so. He lambasted Bush for pursuing a "cut and run" strategy, criticized him for not supplying our troops, yet was one of only 12 Senators who voted against the reconstruction package (including body armor for the military). He pointed fingers at intel, yet the only bill he ever sponsored during his Senate career would have cut the CIA drastically. It was so radical it failed to generate any real support.
He claims he said he never threw his medals away and ABC has a tape showing him saying he did. Several people have now come forward to say they saw him do it.
He defended Bill Clinton, a man who admits he obtained a draft deferment under fraudulent pretenses, and reproached fellow Vietnam vet Bob Kerrey for questioning Clinton's patriotism because Clinton never served. Then he openly questioned George Bush's fitness for office when Bush served the equivalent of 21 months of active duty in the Texas Air National Guard.
He called our vets criminals on the unsubstantiated word of fake vets who refused to testify when offered immunity but 30 years later he refuses to recant.
He voted for the Patriot Act, then loudly called for its replacement and villified John Ashcroft for enforcing the law he supported. Now that the 9/11 commission has turned around public opinion, he suddenly supports the Act, wants only "minor fixes"?
Are we supposed to be surprised when he is duplicitous? This is a continuing pattern of behavior.

I was never first. In fact, I never claimed to be first. Those who claim that I was first, or that I claimed to be first, are water carriers for the vast moderate conspiracy.

Kerry is beyond belief. At least Clinton was charming and a masterfully skilled liar. Kerry is more like a retarded 8-year old trying to explain why the lamp is broken. My only worry is that the Demonrats come to their senses, pull a Torricelli, and plug in the Hildebeast.
